Lameness evaluation & SPORT HORSE MEDICINE

Mountain Pointe Equine offers complete and comprehensive lameness examinations using state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques to localize and diagnose injuries and arthritis. A typical lameness exam includes physical palpation, flexion tests, nerve/joint blocks, and diagnostic imaging. These services coupled with therapeutic techniques such as traditional joint injections and more advanced ultrasound guided injections help to optimize the performance of your equine athlete.

Our online pharmacy is a convenient way for owners to purchase equine medications and supplies. Once ordered, veterinary approved prescriptions will be shipped directly to you or your farm. Our online pharmacy can automatically refill prescriptions, notify you when medications are running low, and notify you about available promotions.

Mountain Pointe Equine is committed to providing the highest quality of care for our patients. To do so, we offer 24-hour ambulatory emergency care for illness and injury including colic, choke, trauma, lacerations, eye injuries, fever, and other equine emergencies. surgery

Mountain Pointe Equine is equipped to perform routine surgeries on the farm including but not limited to castrations, enucleations, mass removals, neurectomies, sinus/oral surgeries, podiatry, biopsies, and other soft tissue surgeries. Dr. Fugaro, a board certified surgeon, also performs more advanced procedures including colic (intestinal) surgeries at B.W. Furlong Associates in Oldwick, NJ.
